The iKeyboard 6Nano pairs a 61-key velocity-sensitive keyboard with a single-channel DAW controller. It has pitch bend and modulation wheels, octave and transpose up/down buttons, and a dual-function encoder (turn or press) ringed by an 11-segment LED that shows its position. Several velocity curves can be selected.
Control uses Mackie Control and HUI protocols, with built-in presets for Cubase, Nuendo, Samplitude, Reason, Logic Pro and Ableton Live (Mackie Control) and Pro Tools (HUI). It can also be set to general MIDI values. The supplied iMap software lets every control be mapped to any MIDI application, and firmware is updated over USB through iMap.
The unit connects by USB 2.0 and is class-compliant on Windows, macOS and iOS. Rear connections include a MIDI output jack and TRS jacks for expression and sustain pedals, with reversible sustain polarity. The enclosure is metal and has a Kensington lock port. A software bundle is included.
