The iKeyboard 4Nano combines a velocity-sensitive 37-key piano-style keyboard with a one-channel DAW control surface. It has pitch bend and modulation wheels, octave and transpose buttons, and a push-and-turn encoder ringed by an 11-segment LED indicator. Several velocity curves can be selected.
Mapping is handled by Mackie Control and HUI protocols. Mackie Control is built in for Cubase, Nuendo, Samplitude, Reason, Logic Pro and Ableton Live, and HUI for Pro Tools. Presets exist for these and for Studio One. Any control can be remapped to other MIDI software with the included iMap application, which is also used for firmware updates over USB.
The unit connects by USB 2.0 and is class-compliant on Windows, macOS and iOS. It also has a MIDI output jack and TRS connectors for expression and sustain pedals, with switchable sustain polarity. The casing is metal with a Kensington lock port. A software bundle is included.
