The iKeyboard 4Mini is a mini-format MIDI controller with a velocity-sensitive piano-style keyboard. Several velocity curves can be selected to match playing style. A combined pitch/modulation joystick, octave and transpose up/down buttons and a sustain button cover the basic performance controls.
An arpeggiator is built in, with a dedicated arpeggiator button, a Tap button for tempo and a combined Gate/Arp type joystick for adjusting arpeggiator parameters. The included iMap software is used to map MIDI functions, and firmware can be updated over USB through iMap. The housing is metal and has a Kensington lock port.
The unit connects by USB 2.0 high speed and is powered from the bus. It is class-compliant and also has a MIDI output jack. It works with major DAWs such as Cubase, Nuendo, Samplitude, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Reaper and Reason. The software bundle includes Bitwig 8Track, Dotec audio plugins, the Tracktion DAW Essentials Collection and the Harrison 32c Vocal Intensity Processor plugin.
