The iKey is a small MIDI keyboard with 25 velocity-sensitive synth-action keys. Alongside the keys it has a modulation touchpad, a pitch touchpad, octave up and down buttons and a sustain button. Several velocity curves can be selected to match different playing styles.
It connects over USB and draws its power from the bus, so no separate power supply is needed. It is class-compliant on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 and on Mac OS X, and the compatibility list also covers macOS 10.11 to 10.13 and iOS 11 to 14. Two USB connectors let it be daisy-chained with other i-series controllers.
The iMap software is included for assigning MIDI functions. An aluminum cover in various graphic designs and colors is available as an option. Downloads include Smart Install packages for iMap and firmware on macOS and Windows, plus a quickstart guide and manuals in English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish.
