Guitar U is a compact USB audio interface built around a single guitar input with its own preamp and gain control. It records and plays back at 24-bit resolution and sample rates up to 192kHz, giving a 2-in/2-out analog path with simultaneous full-duplex recording and playback.
Outputs are two analog connections on 1/4" TRS jacks, with a master volume control on the top panel. A separate headphone output has its own volume knob and an assignable source, so the monitoring feed can be chosen independently of the main outputs. The body is metal with a rubber jacket.
The unit connects over USB 2.0 High Speed and draws its power from the USB bus, so no external supply is needed. It supports DirectSound, WDM and ASIO 2.0 drivers on Windows and works with Intel Macs. Drivers and the application are provided through a Smart Install package for macOS and Windows, and manuals are available in six languages.
