The V40WSCE-OPB is a cutaway dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar from Ibanez's V series. The top, back and sides are all White Siris, the neck is Meranti, and the fretboard and bridge are Nandu Wood. Appointments include a white dot inlay, a water-decal soundhole rosette and chrome covered tuners. The finish is Open Pore Brown.

For amplification it carries an Ibanez undersaddle pickup feeding the AEQ-2T preamp. The control panel has a tuner on/off button plus bass, treble and volume knobs. The tuner works even when the guitar is not plugged in. A 9V battery powers the electronics. The bridge uses Ibanez Advantage pins, which have a bulb-shaped head that makes them easier to grip and stops them being pushed in too far.

The guitar connects through a single 1/4" output jack. The scale length is 650 mm (25.5"), with a 42 mm nut width and a 250 mmR fingerboard radius. It has 20 frets. The maker lists the FS40DA as the recommended case and the IAB540-BK as the recommended bag.
