The TOD10N is a nylon-string acoustic-electric guitar built on a modified FRH hollow body with no sound hole in the top, which reduces feedback on stage. It has a solid Sitka spruce top, sapele back and sides, and a set-in Nyatoh neck with a rosewood fretboard and bridge. Fan bracing, a design common on classical guitars, gives it a warm nylon-string voice.
The neck is narrow, with a 46mm nut width and a 400mmR fretboard radius, and the cutaway body allows access to the upper frets. A side sound port lets the player hear the guitar's acoustic tone more directly. The fretboard carries the Tree of Death inlay, a reference to Ibanez's Tree of Life design, and the body has pearloid binding.
For amplified use it has a Fishman S-Core pickup and an Ibanez AEQ210TF preamp with an onboard tuner and a 1/4" output jack. The controls are volume, tuner button, treble, phase button and bass. The preamp runs on one 9V battery. The model is offered in Transparent Black Flat with gold tuners, and in Silver Metallic Flat and Pearl Pink Flat with chrome tuners. The Tim Henson signature gig bag THGB1 is the recommended case.
