The VR2-11510 is a passive two-way mid/high unit from the Vortis 2 series. A 15" neodymium cone driver with a 3" voice coil handles low and mid frequencies, and a 1" Celestion compression driver with ferrofluid handles highs, split by a passive crossover at 1.8 kHz. It is rated at 350 W RMS, 700 W program and 1400 W peak, with a maximum peak SPL of 129 dB.
The horn comes in three variants (60° x 40°, 90° x 55° or an asymmetrical 60-90° x 55°), each rotatable by 90°, so coverage can be matched to the room. The cabinet is birch plywood with a two-component textured coating inside and out, a steel front grille with anticorrosive coating, and rigging points on the sides, lid, bottom and back. The speaker is certified for voice alarm use (EN 54-24, type B, outdoor area), for ball impact resistance (DIN 18032-3) and for IP 33 C, with IP 55 available as a special version.
Input and parallel output are screw terminals under a contact protection cover. DSP presets and filter data are offered for Lab.gruppen, Lake, Powersoft, Ashly and QSC Q-SYS processing, and a wide range of mounting accessories is available.
