The PORTABLE SUB 115 A is a powered subwoofer in a bass reflex MDF cabinet with a 15" woofer on a 3" voice coil. A Class D biamped amplifier delivers 700 W RMS and 1400 W peak, and the unit reaches a peak SPL of 129 dB measured at 1 m in half space.
A 24-bit DSP at 48 kHz provides filter presets named LUNAR, SONAR, POLAR and a General LPF at 100 Hz, so the sub can be matched to the satellite system it is paired with without further setup. The crossover slope is 24 dB/oct, and protection includes a subsonic filter plus peak and RMS limiters. An integrated stereo preamp allows use in 2.1 systems, and gain and polarity controls are fitted.
Two XLR/jack combo inputs accept balanced signals, and two balanced XLR Thru outputs pass the signal on to other speakers. The cabinet has an M20 pole mount, two MultiGrip carrying handles and a steel grille backed with acoustic foam, and it weighs 32.8 kg.
