The Linear Sub 1200 is a compact, passive subwoofer in a vented (bass reflex) cabinet. Two 10" woofers with 2.5" voice coils handle the low end, with a usable response of 51 Hz to 150 Hz at -6 dB and 42 Hz at -10 dB. It is rated at 600 W RMS and 1200 W program power, with a peak SPL of 130 dB.
The cabinet is built from birch plywood with a water enamel finish in jet black and a steel front grille backed with acoustic foam. It weighs 29 kg and has four MultiGrip carry handles, plus two M20 pole-mount sockets for putting a top cabinet on a pole.
Connection is by NL4 Speakon, with one input and one parallel output. It is driven by an active crossover and a controller amplifier, and amp presets are available for Lab.gruppen IPX and IPD series and Lake processors. It can be paired with the active Linear Sub 1200 A for larger subwoofer stacks.
