The LINEAR 5 MK2 112 FA is a powered two-way cabinet in a bass-reflex enclosure. It pairs a 12" cone driver with a 1" compression driver on a rotatable constant-directivity horn (60° x 40°), which is longer than on the standard models to extend throw distance. It can run on its own as a stereo full-range system or as the mid/high unit above LINEAR 5 MK2 subwoofers, using a dedicated filter preset matched to those subs.
A Class D bi-amped amplifier delivers 600 W RMS and 1200 W peak. The DSP section offers a 10-band parametric EQ with variable filter characteristics, high-pass and low-pass filters, polarity, level, delay, limiter and mute, with 48 kHz sample rate and latency under 2 ms. Onboard filter presets are Flat, Boost, Low Cut and Remote, and the unit is controlled from HK Audio DSP CONTROL software for Windows and macOS.
Connections are an XLR/jack combo input, an XLR output, an XLR DSP output, an Ethercon network input carrying Milan digital audio, and an IEC mains inlet with V-lock. The horn pattern suits horizontal and vertical clustering. The cabinet has a pole mount with 3°/7° DuoTilt, a 31° monitor angle, M8 rigging points and two MultiGrip handles, and can be flown with optional TB-45N or TB-45NQ tilt brackets.
