The COSMO C SUB CF 118 is a direct-radiating passive subwoofer with a single 18-inch Beyma driver with a neodymium magnet and 4-inch voice coil, in a bass-reflex birch plywood cabinet. It is rated at 1600 W RMS, 3200 W program and 6400 W peak into 8 ohms, with a frequency response of 35.5–100 Hz (-6 dB) and a peak SPL of 129 dB.
The cabinet follows the 60 cm modular width of the COSMO family and has four rigging points with black CDC-coated hardware, so it can be flown in a line array. It also has an M20 pole mount for ground-stack use. Four MultiGrip handles help with carrying, and the cabinet weighs 56 kg. The grille is steel with an anticorrosive coating and acoustic foam backing.
Connections are two NL4 Speakon inputs and two NL4 Speakon parallel outputs, with switchable pin assignment. DSP presets are available for Lab.gruppen (IPX, IPD, Lake) and Powersoft Armonia+. Ready-made filter sets for Lab.Gruppen PLM+ and Powersoft X amplifiers cover arrangements such as cardioid and endfire.
