The CM-4 is a passive two-way coaxial ceiling speaker built around a 4" polypropylene low-frequency driver and a 0.75" aluminium dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet. It has a bass-reflex steel enclosure with a multi-stiffened back can, and a crossover at 3.6 kHz. It is rated for 30 W RMS at low impedance (8 Ohms) and 15 W RMS on a 100 V line.
A front-accessible transformer provides four 100 V power taps from 7.5 W to 15 W and can be bypassed for low-impedance use. Equalisation is handled by an external DSP or amplifier, and filter sheets and presets are offered for a range of platforms including Lab.gruppen LUCIA, Biamp Tesira, BSS, QSC Q-SYS, Powersoft, Symetrix and others.
The speaker has a rimless design with a magnetically attached grille, and both a black and a white grille are supplied. Three mounting clamps are operated from the front and cover a clamping range of up to 40 mm. Connection is by 2-pin Euroblock input with a second Euroblock for parallel output. It is meant for dry indoor installation only.
