The H80 is a stereo integrated amplifier that pairs a preamplifier, a DAC and a power stage in one chassis. The output stage uses the maker's SoundEngine design, which is intended to lower distortion and raise damping factor for tighter bass control. The preamp section is derived from one of the maker's reference preamplifiers.
On the digital side there are five inputs: two coaxial, two optical and one USB, all with 24-bit conversion. The DAC uses a proprietary re-clocking approach. The USB input is plug and play, and the supplied remote can control playback on a connected computer, including skip, play and pause.
Analog connections are one balanced XLR input and two unbalanced RCA inputs, one of which can be configured as a home theatre input. Output is rated at 75 W per channel into 8 Ohms and 125 W per channel into 4 Ohms.
