H30A

The H30A is built around a dual mono power supply with two separate 1000 VA toroidal transformers and 270,000 μF of capacitance. Its output stage uses 56 high-speed bipolar transistors rated 15 A and 200 W each. In mono it is specified at more than 1100 W into 8 ohms and stays stable into a 1-ohm load.
The input stage uses a single pair of hand-matched FET transistors, intended to avoid higher order harmonic distortion. Hegel's patented SoundEngine feed-forward circuit monitors the signal and corrects distortion as it is amplified.
The amplifier has balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, plus a 12V trigger input. Speakers connect to one pair of heavy duty gold-plated binding posts. It is finished in black and weighs 47.4 kg.
