H300

The H300 combines a dual-mono preamplifier stage with a power amplifier rated at 250 W per channel into 8 ohms and 430 W into 4 ohms. It is built on the Hegel 2 amplifier platform and uses hand-matched FET transistors, which the maker says reduce higher-order harmonic distortion. The power supply is a 1000 VA dual-mono design with 90,000 uF of capacitance.
The built-in DAC accepts two coaxial S/PDIF, two optical S/PDIF and one USB input, and the digital section can be upgraded through a DAC-loop. A coaxial S/PDIF output is provided for passing the digital signal on.
Analog connectivity covers one balanced XLR input, three unbalanced RCA inputs and a fixed-level RCA Home Theatre input for use in a surround system. An unbalanced RCA pre-out is available, and a 3.5 mm direct IR input on the rear panel allows integration with advanced remote control systems. The model is listed among Hegel's discontinued products.
