The A200 is a stereo integrated amplifier that deliberately leaves out any DAC, streaming section or digital input. It uses a Class A/B power stage rated at 2x150 W into 8 ohms, is stable into 2-ohm loads, and has a damping factor above 4000 for control of loudspeaker drivers. SoundEngine2 technology is used to detect and cancel distortion as it occurs in the signal path.
Analog connectivity consists of two balanced XLR inputs, two unbalanced RCA inputs and a Moving Magnet phono input derived from the MM section of the V10 phono stage. Outputs include a fixed RCA line output, a variable RCA line output for a subwoofer or external power amplifier, and a headphone output.
Practical functions include a fixed volume level per input for home theater use, learning of volume commands from a TV remote, startup and maximum volume limits, auto standby, and a display that dims automatically and can be customized or switched off.
