SR80

The SR80 is a wired, open-air dynamic headphone and one of the longest-running models in Grado's range. It uses a 44mm X2 driver with a Mylar diaphragm, a copper voice coil and a rare earth magnet system. Compared with the SR60, it is described as having tighter bass, a more forward midrange and more extended high-frequency detail. Some elements previously found in the SR125 and SR225 have been folded into this model.

The housing is a lightweight die-injection molded design with an open-back structure. The headband is Grado's standard assembly with a padded synthetic headstrap and a steel spring band, which lets the user adjust the inward clamping pressure. Grado F cushions are fitted as standard; they sit the driver closer to the ear and can also be swapped to change the tonal balance.

The headphone connects through a fixed Bronze cable. With a 38 ohm impedance and 98 dB sensitivity at 1 mW, it can be driven from portable sources such as a portable DAC.
