GS1000

The GS1000 is an open-air dynamic headphone in the Classic Series. It uses a 50mm X2 driver with a Mylar diaphragm, a copper voice coil and a rare earth magnet system. The larger diaphragm is intended to move more air, giving deeper bass extension and more dynamic headroom than smaller Grado drivers.

The housing is made of solid mahogany. The headphone ships with G cushions, the largest in the Grado range, which sit the driver farther from the ear to widen the soundstage. Cushions also act as a tuning element, so other cushion styles can be tried to shift the tonal balance.

The Signature Gold headband assembly combines engraved aluminum alloy gimbals, stainless steel height rods and reinforced aluminum junction blocks. The headstrap is genuine leather with white contrast stitching, and an internal steel spring band lets the user adjust clamping pressure. The headphone is supplied with a Signature Silver cable, and the cable can optionally be terminated with an XLR connector.
