Opis
The 8380A is an adaptive three-way main monitor that pairs a 380 mm bass cone with a coaxial driver for midrange and treble. Each driver has its own amplifier (500 W Class D bass, 250 W Class D midrange, 200 W Class AB treble) and active crossovers at 470 Hz and 2.5 kHz. It reaches a maximum short-term SPL of 122 dB at 1 m, with self-generated noise of 0 dB SPL or lower.
It is part of the Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) range, so level, distance delay and room compensation are set automatically through GLM software and AutoCal 2. Other features include a diffraction-minimised coaxial driver, a Directivity Control Waveguide, driver protection circuitry and Intelligent Signal Sensing standby (0.5 W or less). The cabinet and the silently cooled RAM-L2 amplifier match the dimensions of the 1038A, 1038B and 1238A and their RAM-L amplifier, which allows remote amplifier mounting in flush-mounted installations.
Audio comes in over balanced analogue XLR or AES/EBU digital XLR, with a digital output or thru. Two RJ45 ports connect it to the GLM network. Calibration needs GLM software and either a 9320A reference controller or a GLM Calibration Kit, both sold separately.
