Deskrizzjoni
The 8330A is a two-way powered monitor in a die-cast aluminium enclosure with a reflex port. A 130 mm cone woofer and a 19 mm metal-dome tweeter sit behind a Directivity Control Waveguide, each driven by its own 50 W Class D amplifier. It is positioned above the smaller 8320A, with somewhat higher output and more low-frequency extension.
As a Smart Active Monitor, it is set up, level-matched, delay-aligned and room-compensated through Genelec's GLM software and AutoCal 2 calibration. Calibration needs GLM plus either a 9320A SAM Reference Controller or a GLM Calibration Kit, both sold separately. Settings can be stored in each monitor, so they persist if the GLM network is disconnected.
Audio arrives on an analogue XLR input or an AES/EBU XLR input, with an AES/EBU XLR output for daisy-chaining. Two RJ45 ports carry the GLM control network. Intelligent Signal Sensing drops the speaker into a low-power sleep state when no signal is present, and a built-in Iso-Pod stand allows a tilt of ±15°. M6 mounting points support wall, ceiling and truss mounts.
