The 8320A is a two-way powered monitor in a die-cast aluminium, rear-ported enclosure with an integrated waveguide. A 105 mm cone woofer and a 19 mm metal dome tweeter are each driven by their own 50 W Class D amplifier through an active crossover. The enclosure stands 242 mm tall with the Iso-Pod base, which lets the speaker tilt by ±15° toward the listener and decouples it from the surface it sits on.

As a member of the Smart Active Monitoring range, it can be configured and calibrated through the free GLM software to compensate for room influences. Calibration needs the separately sold GLM Calibration Kit. Settings can be stored in the monitor itself, so it keeps them if the control network is disconnected. Intelligent Signal Sensing puts the monitor into a low-power sleep state (0.5 W or less) when no signal is present, and it can be switched off from the back panel. Driver protection circuitry limits the output when levels get too high.

Audio comes in through a balanced XLR input, and two RJ45 connectors carry the GLM control network. M6 mounting points in the enclosure support wall, ceiling and truss mounts, and a range of table and floor stands is listed as compatible. It comes in Dark Grey, White, Black and RAW finishes.
