7370A

The 7370A is a networked active subwoofer in the Smart Active Monitoring range. A 305 mm bass driver is powered by a 400 W Class D amplifier and loaded by a bass-reflex enclosure whose spiral shape also forms the port. The system reaches 19 Hz to 150 Hz (-6 dB), with peak output of at least 118 dB SPL at 1 m and a self-generated noise level of 5 dB SPL or less.

The subwoofer includes bass management for multichannel work, with 7.1 analogue XLR inputs and outputs, an AES/EBU digital input with thru output, and a dedicated LFE input and output. The LFE level can be set to 0 or +10 dB relative to the main channels, and the subwoofer can be bypassed to hear its effect on the mix. Protection circuitry limits the level when the driver nears its thermal limit, and Intelligent Signal Sensing puts the unit into a low-power sleep state when no signal is present.

Two RJ45 connectors link the unit to the GLM network. Genelec's GLM software adjusts level, delay and crossover phase and applies room-response correction so the subwoofer and monitors work together. Calibration needs the free GLM software plus either the 9320A SAM Reference Controller or a GLM Calibration Kit, both sold separately.
