LIGHT Pedal

The pedal is built around a three-spring, 100 mm reverb tank. Instead of relying only on the usual transducer pickup, it reads the springs' movement with several pairs of infrared optical sensors placed along their length. This captures more harmonics and overtones, and the optical and traditional spring outputs each have their own level control.

Six effect modes are split into optical types (optics, sweep, trem) and mechanical types (reflect, feedback, harmonic). A CTRL knob adjusts the active effect, and holding the footswitch while turning controls gives access to secondary parameters, such as sweep curve types or sensor pairs, and lets modes be combined. A gate knob handles gated reverb in one direction and ducking in the other. DRIVE sets how hard the springs are excited, DRY cuts or boosts the dry signal, and TONE applies a tilt EQ to the wet signal only.

For stage use there are tails and latch switches, which control whether reverb tails continue after bypass and whether the footswitch is latching or momentary. An expression input can be assigned to any front-panel knob except tone, and a shock sensor reduces spring noise from impacts and stomping. The pedal runs from an external 9V DC supply, which is not included.
