The Vintage Classic Gold XV SP is a 2-way floorstander with a downward-firing port, a twin-cavity cabinet and a BassTrax Tractrix diffuser. A single 380mm IsoFlare point-source driver with a multi-fibre bass/midrange cone and FyneFlute surround is combined with a 75mm titanium dome compression tweeter. Both drivers use a neodymium magnet system. The cabinet is made of high-density birch ply with extensive internal bracing to control resonance.
The crossover is a bi-wired passive low-loss design with a 2nd order low pass and a 2nd order high pass, set at 750Hz and treated with Deep Cryogenic Treatment. Two adjustments are provided: high-frequency energy (750Hz to 26kHz) and presence (2.5kHz to 5.0kHz), each +/- 3dB. Sensitivity is 97dB and nominal impedance is 8 Ohm, with recommended amplifier power of 20 to 400 Watt RMS.
The speaker is sold per pair and is shown with gold-accented trim carrying Dr. Paul Mills' signature. It connects to an amplifier through bi-wired terminals. The page lists Walnut and Clear colour options.
