The Vintage Classic Gold XII SP is a two-way floorstanding loudspeaker sold as a pair. It uses a 300mm IsoFlare point-source driver with a multi-fibre bass/midrange cone and FyneFlute surround. A 75mm titanium alloy dome compression tweeter sits at its centre, and the drive units use a neodymium magnet system. Crossover is at 750Hz.
The cabinet is high-density birch ply with extensive internal bracing, finished in walnut veneer with gold accents. It has a downward-firing port in a twin-cavity design with a BassTrax Tractrix diffuser. Dr. Paul Mills' signature is engraved on the front control plate trim. Two adjustments are provided: high-frequency energy and presence, each +/- 3dB.
Sensitivity is 96dB with an 8 Ohm nominal impedance, and the recommended amplifier power is 20 to 350 Watts RMS. The crossover is a bi-wired passive low-loss design with deep cryogenic treatment, so the speaker connects to an amplifier through bi-wire capable terminals.
