The F703SP is a floorstanding speaker that builds on the F703 using technology from the maker's F1 Series. Its main driver is a 250mm IsoFlare point-source unit with a multi-fibre cone and a neodymium-magnet compression tweeter with a titanium dome, supported by a second 250mm multi-fibre bass driver. The cabinet is pressed birch ply with extensive internal bracing and twin-cavity loading, and the downward-firing port works with a BassTrax Tractrix diffuser.
The crossover has been reworked using computer modelling and listening tests. It uses Claritycap capacitors and Neotech PC-OCC wiring, and it has been cryogenically treated at the maker's own facility. The passive design is bi-wired, with a 2nd-order low-pass and 1st-order high-pass filter, and crossover points at 250Hz and 850Hz.
Connection is through gold-plated WBT Nextgen 0703 terminals. The speaker stands on a machined aluminium platform with M12 threaded support cones. It is supplied as a pair and comes in Natural Walnut, Piano Gloss Walnut, Piano Gloss Black and Piano Gloss White finishes.
