The F500S LCR is a 2½-way loudspeaker that can be used as a left, centre or right channel in a home theatre system. Its drive units are a 150mm IsoFlare bass/mid driver with a 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter, plus a 150mm bass driver and a 150mm auxiliary bass radiator (ABR). The ABR takes the place of a conventional port, which allows placement close to a wall or on a wall mount.
The cabinet is made from high-rigidity MDF with extensive internal bracing. Crossover points are 250Hz and 1.7kHz, using a 2nd order low-pass and a 1st order high-pass design. Sensitivity is 90dB at 2.83V/1m with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, and the recommended amplifier power is 30 to 150W RMS.
The speaker measures 200 x 530 x 152mm and weighs 10.2kg. It is offered in three finishes: Black Oak and Natural Walnut real wood veneer, or Piano Gloss Black. It is sold as a single unit and connects to an amplifier or AV receiver through speaker terminals.
