The F1-8 is a two-way standmount loudspeaker built from the same technology as the maker's floorstanding F1 models. A 200mm IsoFlare driver with a multi-fibre cone and FyneFlute rubber surround is combined with a 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter, forming a point-source, time-aligned design.
The hand-crafted cabinet rests on a machined aluminium plinth that houses the BassTrax Tractrix diffuser for the downward-firing port. A Presence control adjusts the 2.5kHz to 5.0kHz region by plus or minus 3dB. The crossover is a bi-wired passive design with a 1.8kHz crossover frequency, and it is deep cryogenically treated.
The speaker is finished in real walnut veneer with burr walnut inlay, hand finished in the UK. Sold per pair, it has an 8 ohm nominal impedance and 91dB sensitivity, and works with amplifiers rated 30 to 180W RMS. The FS8 Stand is listed as a related accessory.
