F1-10

The F1-10 is a floorstanding speaker built around a 250mm (10") IsoFlare point source driver with a multi-fibre bass/midrange cone. A 75mm titanium dome compression tweeter sits at its centre, and the pair is crossed over at 750Hz. In-room response is quoted as 28Hz to 26kHz, and sensitivity is 94dB, so the speaker can be driven by a wide range of amplifiers.

The cabinet uses a twin cavity BassTrax ported design, with the port firing downwards into a Tractrix diffuser. Two potentiometer controls adjust the output: high frequency energy (750Hz to 26kHz) and presence (2.5kHz to 5.0kHz), each by +/-3dB. They let the speaker be tuned to the room size and placement. The crossover is a bi-wired passive low-loss design, second order low pass and high pass, and it has been deep cryogenically treated.

The speaker is finished in lacquered burr walnut with a plinth top. It is a heavy cabinet at 57.7kg each. Connection is through bi-wire terminals to an amplifier rated between 20 and 280 watts RMS. The product is listed under the maker's Discontinued category.
