The DM14v is a classic broadcast-style dynamic microphone designed around spoken voice. It uses a cardioid pickup pattern and a low-sensitivity capsule, so it favours the person speaking close to it and picks up less of the surrounding room.
A built-in windshield reduces plosives, while an internal shock mount limits low-frequency rumble transmitted from the environment. This helps produce cleaner takes without extra accessories.
The microphone connects over XLR, and an XLR cable is included. It mounts on a standard 5/8 inch thread, with a 3/8 inch adaptor supplied. It can be bought on its own or as part of the Vocaster Broadcast Kit, Vocaster One Studio and Vocaster Two Studio bundles.
