The Utopia Main 112 is a floor-standing, three-way main monitor built for recording, mixing and mastering. It combines a 13-inch long-excursion W-membrane subwoofer, a 5-inch M-shaped W-membrane midrange and a 1.5-inch M-shaped beryllium tweeter. The bass cabinet is MDF with internal bracing to prevent panel flex, and the port is designed to keep port noise low. Frequency response is stated as 28 Hz to 40 kHz (±3 dB) with a peak output of 120 dB SPL at 1 m.
The speaker is driven by a separate remote amplifier unit, a design suited to soffit mounting. The amplifier pairs Class H current-mode amplification with analogue filtering: 90 W for the tweeter, 180 W for the midrange and 500 W Class D for the bass. Controls cover sensitivity, auto standby, logo LED, high-pass filter, low-frequency and high-frequency shelving, EQ bands, driver trims, a soffit filter and a sealed-port filter, allowing the response to be tuned to the room.
Signal input is balanced XLR at 10 kOhm. The speaker's LEDs show power and clipping, and the remote amplifier has a power LED and an on/off switch. The amplifier runs from 100-120 V or 220-240 V mains at 50/60 Hz.
