Description

The SUB 12 is a car-audio driver built around a 30 cm polypropylene cone. The material is chosen for its rigidity, which keeps distortion down so low frequencies stay clear and deep. It uses a single voice coil with a ferrite motor and a butyl surround.

The driver is rated at 300 W RMS nominal power with a 600 W maximum, a 4 Ω nominal impedance and 88 dB sensitivity. It is intended to complement Focal car audio ranges such as Access, Universal, Polyglass and Slatefiber.

Connection is through screw terminals, which keeps wiring simple. The driver can be installed in a sealed enclosure of 10 L or more, or in a bass-reflex enclosure of 25 L or more. It needs a 300 mm cut-out and 130 mm of mounting depth, and weighs 5.5 kg.
