Cur síos

The SUB 10 is a 9.8-inch car subwoofer built around a polypropylene cone with a butyl surround and a ferrite motor. It has a single voice coil with a 4 Ω nominal impedance, and is rated for 250 W RMS with 500 W maximum power. Sensitivity is 85 dB.

It is designed for either a sealed enclosure (from 10 L) or a bass-reflex enclosure (from 25 L). The cone material is stiff, which keeps distortion down at high levels. The unit is made to work with other Focal car audio ranges, and is suggested as an addition to Auditor, Access, Universal, Polyglass or Slatefiber setups.

Connection is by screw terminals, which keeps wiring to the car's audio system straightforward. Mounting needs a 250 mm cut-out and 111 mm of depth behind the mounting surface. The driver weighs 4.5 kg.
