Beskrivelse

FiiO BTR17 – Desktop power in a pocket DAC

The BTR17 is a portable Bluetooth DAC and headphone amplifier for listeners who want desktop-class drive without a desktop stack. Dual ES9069Q DACs and a THX AAA 78+ amp push clean, controlled power into both IEMs and full-size headphones, while a tactile volume knob and color display keep control physical.

Key Features

  • Dual ES9069Q DACs: ESS flagship 32-bit conversion for low-noise, detailed playback.
  • THX AAA 78+ amplification: Four-channel balanced amp that stays clean from sensitive IEMs to demanding headphones.
  • Desktop Mode: Plug in external USB power to unlock up to 650 mW balanced for harder-to-drive cans.
  • Bluetooth 5.4: Qualcomm QCC5181 chipset with LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless and aptX HD.
  • 10-band PEQ: Tune the sound to your headphones from the FiiO Control app.
  • Dual outputs: 3.5 mm single-ended and 4.4 mm balanced on one device.

Customer Benefits

The BTR17 covers two setups in one box. On the move it runs as a Bluetooth or USB dongle, sized to sit beside your phone; at the desk, Desktop Mode draws from external power so your headphones get the current they actually need. The 1.3-inch IPS screen and volume knob let you adjust playback without digging through menus, and the 10-band PEQ lets you dial in a signature instead of living with the stock tuning.

Pros and Cons

✅ Pros:

  • Desktop Mode delivers real power for full-size headphones
  • Balanced and single-ended outputs in one unit
  • Wide hi-res codec support, including aptX Lossless

⚠️ Cons:

  • Desktop Mode needs external USB power to reach full output

Whether it lives in your pocket or on your desk, the BTR17 gives one device two jobs and does both without cutting corners on power or detail.
