The Pugilist V2 houses two separate distortion engines in one chassis. Each engine has its own Gain, Tone and Level controls and its own footswitch. Engine A gives a treble-rich lead drive, while Engine B gives a thicker, heavier distortion.

A Path switch selects between two series modes, where one circuit feeds the other so the drive stages stack like amp channels, and a parallel mode, where both run side by side and are balanced with the level controls. Global Mid Cut and Bass Boost switches add further tone shaping. A rear Multiswitch sets each footswitch to latching (tap) or momentary (press and hold) action, and a rear switch selects true bypass or buffered bypass, with relay-based auto-bypass when no power is present.

The jacks are top mounted, with one 1/4" input. The pedal runs from a 9V center-negative adaptor with a 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel connector, which is not included. It comes in a gold finish.
