Popis
The Newporter Player belongs to Fender's California series of acoustics. It combines a solid spruce top with laminated sapele back and sides in a compact auditorium-style body with a cutaway, finished in gloss or satin depending on colour.
The nato neck has a slim C profile, a 25.5" scale length and a walnut fingerboard with white dot inlays. The tilt-back six-in-line headstock comes from Fender's electric guitars. A Graph Tech NuBone nut and saddle, vintage-style tuning machines, a walnut Modern Viking bridge and Fender Dura-Tone 880L coated strings (.012-.052) are fitted.
Amplification comes from an onboard Fishman Flex preamp with an undersaddle piezo transducer. Its controls are volume, tone and a push-style tone knob for phase control against feedback. The guitar is right-handed and is offered in Sunburst, Tidepool, Natural and Surf Green. No case or gig bag is included.
