This right-handed signature Jaguar recreates the secondhand, modified left-handed Jaguar that Kurt Cobain used after the Nevermind sessions. It keeps the Jaguar's dual-circuit lead/rhythm layout, but swaps the single-coil pickups for a DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary DP103 at the neck and a Super Distortion DP100 at the bridge.
The lead circuit uses three knurled control knobs: one volume per pickup and a master tone. A three-way toggle switch sits on a modified lower switch plate. Other details include a black chrome Adjusto-Matic bridge with a floating tremolo tailpiece and lock button, a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, a bound rosewood fingerboard and a neck plate engraved with a logo Cobain doodled in his journals.
The body is alder with a gloss polyester finish in 3-Color Sunburst, on a maple Modern C neck with a 24-inch scale. The guitar ships in a black textured hard case with an exclusive Fender Kurt Cobain book of Charles Peterson photography. A left-hand version is sold separately. It is a passive instrument and connects through a standard guitar output.
