Beskrivelse
The California Vintage King is a right-handed dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar based on the King body shape from Fender's early-1960s acoustic designs. It has a solid Sitka spruce top, solid ovangkol back and sides, a gloss polyurethane body finish and Performance X forward-shifted, scalloped bracing intended to let the top move more freely.
The okoume neck has a modern "V" profile, a 25.5" scale, a 16" radius ovangkol fingerboard with pearloid block inlays and 20 frets. The tilt-back six-in-line headstock carries a maple headcap, and the nut and saddle are bone. Hardware is nickel, with vintage-style tuning machines with aged white buttons and a Vintage Viking bridge. Two finishes are listed: Aged Natural with a gold pickguard, and Mojave with an aged white pickguard.
For amplified use there is a Fender/Fishman Presys VT Plus system with soundhole-mounted controls. It combines an undersaddle piezo with an internal body transducer and has volume and blend controls. A vintage-style hardshell case is included.
