The EM-01 is a plug-and-play measurement microphone built around a 6mm electret condenser capsule with an omnidirectional pickup pattern. It covers 20Hz–20kHz (±1dB with the calibration file applied) and handles sound pressure levels up to 130dBSPL at 1% THD. Each unit ships with its own calibration file for accurate measurement data.
It is designed to work with Eversolo streamers for acoustic calibration of a listening room, and it also works with measurement software such as REW and Dirac for speaker measurements and on-site room assessment. The built-in 24bit/48kHz ADC digitises the signal inside the microphone, and the noise level is rated at -84dBFS (A-weighted, with +30dB IGPA).
Connection is through a USB Type-C port using the UAC1.0 protocol, so it needs no drivers on Windows, Mac, iOS or Android. The microphone is powered only from the 5V USB supply. The aluminum alloy body is 155mm long and weighs 47g, and a desktop tripod stand, microphone holder, windscreen and two cables are supplied.
