Description
This is a double-cut SG Special with a mahogany body in a gloss finish and a glued-in mahogany neck. The 60s SlimTaper profile, laurel fingerboard and 60s Kalamazoo headstock follow the early-1960s design. The nut is Graph Tech NuBone.
Two Epiphone P-90 PRO soapbar single-coil pickups are fitted, selected with a 3-way toggle. Controls are two volumes and two tones, with era-appropriate wiring and CTS pots. The bridge is a Lightning Bolt wrap-around combination bridge. Nickel-plated Epiphone Deluxe tuners with ivory buttons, black top-hat knobs with nickel inserts and a 5-ply black pickguard complete the hardware.
The guitar plugs in through a heavy-duty 1/4" output jack. It is part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection and also came in Sparkling Burgundy. A hard case and an EpiLite case were offered as optional extras. The maker lists this colour as no longer available.
