The Classic Sub 8 is a front-firing, bass-reflex active subwoofer that adds low-frequency extension to stereo or home cinema setups. It uses a 200 mm (8 inch) driver with a fiberglass composite cone and is powered by a built-in 150 W Class D amplifier.
A DSP applies a 6.3 dB boost at 33 Hz, and the frequency response runs from 37 Hz to 200 Hz. For matching with the main speakers, the crossover is adjustable from 40 Hz to 200 Hz and phase can be switched between 0 and 180 degrees. An automatic standby mode switches the unit off when it is not in use.
It connects through L and R line-level inputs, which suit most amplifiers. At 25 cm wide, the cabinet is designed to fit in a corner or under furniture in smaller rooms.
