The A2700 is a Class D power amplifier that delivers 2 x 400 W RMS into 8 ohms and 2 x 710 W RMS into 4 ohms in stereo. It can also be bridged to mono, giving 1400 W RMS into 8 ohms. It is intended to drive a wide range of floorstanding or bookshelf speakers and is positioned as a partner for the maker's P1 preamplifier.
Measured performance includes total harmonic distortion below 0.005 % at 100 W into 8 ohms, a dynamic signal-to-noise ratio of 119 dB on the balanced input, and a damping factor of 1000 at 8 ohms. Bandwidth is 2 Hz to 60 kHz at -3 dB into 4 ohms. Each channel has a clipping LED and a protection LED covering current, power and temperature.
Sources connect through one stereo RCA input or one stereo XLR input. A trigger input and output allow stand-by and operation switching from an isolated 5 to 12 V signal. Stand-by consumption is under 0.5 W. The chassis measures 95 x 430 x 302 mm and weighs 6.5 kg.
