The Wave XLR Pro combines two XLR preamps with an onboard Wave FX Processor. The voice passes through Clipguard 2.0 clipping protection, DSP effects and VST inserts in a single signal path, so monitoring through wired headphones stays responsive. Five simultaneous mixes cover personal monitoring, stream, recording and chat feeds.
Two USB-C ports split the roles. USB Host links to a computer for 18-channel I/O and full Wave Link control, while USB Aux is for a console, phone or second PC and needs no drivers. Powering the unit from USB Aux lets it run with its saved settings and active DSP effects while the main PC is off (Standalone Mode). Wave Link is needed for initial setup of mixes, routing and effects.
Other features include Voice Tune, Auto Gain, and a Channel Booster that adds up to +12 dB on a quiet input. A line input, a line output and two headphone outputs complete the connections, and it can be controlled with a Stream Deck through the Wave Link plugin.
