Prompter is a beamsplitter-glass teleprompter with an integrated 9-inch, 1024 x 600 display. The glass reflects the screen toward the user and stays transparent to the camera, so the audience sees only the presenter. Text and windows are mirrored automatically, and any app or window can be dragged onto the display like an extra monitor, including video calls, presentations and Twitch chat.
Scripts are managed in the free Camera Hub app for PC and Mac, which has an editor with speech-to-text, chapters, appearance and scrolling controls and overlays. Voice Sync scrolls the script as the user speaks and pauses when they go off-script; it needs an NVIDIA RTX 2060 GPU or newer, or Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). A Stream Deck plugin allows one-touch control, and the shot can be previewed on the display under the script.
An L-shaped camera bracket with several backplates and nine step-up rings fits webcams, DSLR and mirrorless cameras and other compact cameras. Two 1/4-inch threads allow mounting on tripods or desk mounts, and two cold shoe mounts hold accessories such as a microphone or light. Power and video both run over one USB cable.
