Tortion

The Tortion is a mono, analog overdrive/distortion pedal built around a JFET circuit. It uses a 3-band EQ (Treble, Middle, Bass) and a 4-way Pre-Gain selector that shapes the level and tone of the incoming signal, so it can cover a range of styles from vintage to modern.

A footswitchable Boost section adds a second, independent set of Gain and Volume controls, which works like a second channel. The Pre-Gain voicing stays active when Boost is engaged, so the EQ character is kept. Boost can also be toggled with an external momentary footswitch. Red and blue LEDs show whether the effect and Boost are on.

The pedal uses buffered bypass. Besides the standard 1/4" input and output jacks, it has a low-impedance DI output (balanced XLR with cabinet emulation) that connects straight to a mixing console or recording equipment, so it can serve as a preamp. It runs from the supplied 9.6VDC power adapter. The maker lists it as discontinued in 2025.
