Slammi Plus

The Slammi Plus is a digital pitch shifter built into a rocker-style expression pedal. It transposes the incoming signal polyphonically across a range of three octaves up or down, and can shift in one direction or in both at once. An 11-position Shift switch sets the maximum bend or the fixed chromatic interval, and its first position is a 17-cent detune for chorus or doubling tones.

The pedal works in two modes. In Pitch mode the foot treadle bends the shifted note, with the heel-position interval set by the Pitch Mix knob. In X-Fade mode the shifted interval stays fixed and the treadle cross-fades from the dry signal to the shifted one, or from one shifted interval to another. A Dual setting produces two shifted signals at the same time, and a Blend control sets the overall wet/dry mix.

The unit is mono, with one input jack and one output jack, and uses buffered bypass. It runs on an included 9V battery, or on an optional 9.6VDC adapter that is sold separately. The chassis is a lightweight design with a rack-and-pinion treadle mechanism.
