Q-Tron Plus

The Q-Tron Plus is an analog, mono envelope filter that reuses the original Q-Tron circuit and adds two features: an effects loop and a response switch. The filter follows the dynamics of the playing and sweeps up or down depending on the sweep switch setting. A mode switch selects low pass, band pass, high pass or mix output, and a peak control sets the filter's resonance from subtle to pronounced.

The effects loop sits between the preamp and the filter section, so a pedal or a chain of pedals can be inserted without altering the envelope drive. This is useful with distortion units, which often have little amplitude variation of their own. The response switch toggles between a slow, smooth, vowel-like attack and the faster response of the original Q-Tron. A range switch chooses a low or high sweep range, and a gain knob works with a normal/boost switch to set level and filter sensitivity.

The pedal has true bypass and uses an input jack, an FX send, an FX return and an output to the amplifier. A 24VDC 100mA power adapter is included.
