The Platform is a digital stereo compressor/limiter in a stompbox-sized case. Its compressor section has Volume, Attack, Release and Sustain controls, plus pushbuttons for hard or soft knee and for engaging the limiter. In compressor mode the Sustain knob sets the ratio; in limiter mode it sets the threshold. A three-colour, eight-LED meter shows the actual gain reduction as it happens.
A separate overdrive section has its own Volume, Tone and Drive controls and its own footswitch. It can be used together with the compressor. A Swell knob sets a fade-in time for bowed, fade-in and reverse-style effects.
The pedal works as mono in/mono out, mono in/stereo out, or stereo in/stereo out, through two inputs (Mono/L and R) and two outputs (Mono/L and R). Bypass is buffered and stereo, which helps keep the signal intact in larger pedal setups and over long cable runs. It runs from the 9.6VDC, 200mA power adapter supplied.
