The Nano Metal Muff combines a high-gain distortion circuit with a wide-range EQ section, voiced for heavy metal playing. Volume and distortion knobs set the output level and the amount of input gain and saturation, while bass, mid and treble controls give cut and boost of up to 14 dB, 15 dB and 10 dB respectively.
A noise gate with its own threshold knob mutes the output when the incoming signal falls below the set level, which removes hum between phrases. A dedicated LED shows when the gate is muting the output, and turning the gate knob fully counter-clockwise disables it.
The pedal has a quarter-inch input and output, with a 1MΩ input impedance and a 600Ω output impedance. It uses buffered bypass, so the output stays connected to the input through a buffer when the effect is off. Power comes from a 9V battery that is included, or from an optional 9.6VDC-200mA adapter sold separately.
